Open to everyone to enter, this annual Exhibition celebrates photography and image work from across the globe. With categories in Altered Reality, Nature and In Camera, all styles of photography can be submitted.
Entry for the exhibition is online and images are projected during the selection process. For selection, each category has specialist photographers, usually Fellows of The Society who choose on average a total of 400 images for the entire exhibition. RPS Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals alongside Ribbons, for Highly Commended images, are awarded in each of the categories.
The final exhibition is produced on CD-ROM and everyone who enters the International Images for Screen Exhibition receives a copy of the Exhibition CD. Further copies can be purchased in the RPS online shop, which you can show at events or camera club meetings. A call to entries with information on entering the 2014 Exhibition will be made in April/May 2014.
The International Images for Screen Exhibition is recognised by the Photographic Society of America (PSA)*. Successful entrants can count their acceptances for the purpose of PSA stars and honours. An application for FIAP recognition has been made, which we hope to secure for 2014.
*PSA recognises the photographic achievement of entrants whose images are accepted for inclusion in exhibitions. Entrants keep track of their acceptances to all PSA approved exhibitions and can apply for PSA Star Ratings. The number of acceptances for each of these Star Ratings is combined and the entrant can apply for Recognition of Photographic Achievement (ROPA) distinctions: Proficiency (PPSA), Excellence (EPSA), Master (MPSA), and Grand Master (GMPSA). Visit the PSA website for more info.
